Train the Trainer Part 4: Sell Your Course
We love supporting our instructors, and the Embodia community is a great place and audience to market your courses. Why? Because they have already shown an interest in continuing education.
So what can you do to market your course on the Embodia website?
You can provide:

Let’s take a closer look at those options below.
Discounting course prices
Who doesn’t love a good deal? Offering your course at a special rate for a limited time will generate interest and boost enrollment. But be careful! Don’t discount your course too often—it’s best to have a plan for how many times a year you’ll offer discounts.
Tip: Provide a special price on your course at special times of the year. For example, around the time of a conference, holiday, topical awareness week, and other special occasions. Embodia will often run sale campaigns you can include your course(s) in as well (ex. Cyber Monday) - keep an eye on your quarterly instructor emails for details.
Using Embodia, there are a few ways you can offer a special rate for your course - with coupon codes, discounts, and bundles.
Coupon codes
Coupon codes are special codes that we will provide to you on request. These can be sent out or shared with a particular group of practitioners who will use this coupon code when they buy your course.
Below is what practitioners will see:
When we create a coupon code for you, we require the following information:

The course(s) you would like the coupon code to be linked to. Coupon codes can be linked to as many courses as you like.

The percent discount (not the dollar amount). For example, you would like to provide 15% off.

The date that the coupon code will expire. For example, ‘this coupon code will be active from May 1 until May 31, 2025’. Regardless of the dates, all coupon codes expire at 11:59 p.m.
You can then send this coupon code in your email marketing campaigns (e.g. newsletters), or share it on your social media platforms so that your target audience becomes aware of your course sale.

Limited-time discounts
Anyone interested in purchasing your course will see the discount price (see below image).
You can set the discounted price yourself by following these steps:

Navigate to your course page.

Click ‘Edit Settings’ at the bottom of the course page.

Click Pricing in the left sidebar.
4. Choose the discounted cost and the dates from which and until the discount will apply.
5. Click ‘Save and Exit’.

Bundling Courses
If you have more than one course to offer, you have the option to bundle them together to give people a package deal!
When you do this it encourages practitioners to purchase multiple courses at the same time, especially when it’s at a discounted rate.
A discount isn’t mandatory for a bundle, but it is highly recommended as it’s likely to improve your sales.
When users are ready to check out they will select 'Buy Course' on the course page. They’re then directed to a page where they’ll be presented with the option to buy an individual course or a bundle of courses.

Tip: It can be a good idea to bundle courses that go well together. Since a person’s desire to purchase one of the courses tells us they’re already interested in that topic, it’s likely they may be interested in even more topically-related education. If that’s the case, and they’re presented with a bundle of related courses, they’ll be likely to buy more than they came for, especially if it’s a deal.
Discounting webinar and live course pricing
Similar to courses, we want to be cautious with how often we offer discounts on webinars and live courses but they can also be a really great tool to drive sales.
Some examples of possible discounts:

Limited-time early bird rate

Embodia member or college member discount

Student/new grad discount

Flash sale price
Discounts without time restrictions can be offered simultaneously but, don’t worry, Embodia’s system has limits in place so only one discount can be claimed per student.
